Laboratory Services

Laboratory work is invaluable to investigate many equine diseases. Our in house HBLB approved clinical laboratory means that we can usually get results on the same day and often within minutes of the sample arriving at the laboratory.

B&W Clinical Laboratory is situated on site providing a quick and reliable service for all our patients, surrounding veterinary practices and our referral practices. The laboratory is run by our dedicated lab technician, Leanne Russell, and overseen by RCVS and American recognised internal medicine specialist,  Richard Hepburn.

The laboratory offers a wide range of clinical pathology services including; haematology and biochemistry, microbiology, cytology, dermatology, faecal analysis including worm egg counts, urinalysis, Rotavirus, Salmonella and Strangles testing. We run targeted equine profiles such as geriatric, renal, liver or muscle and pre-breeding uterine cytology.
